26.01.10 - INCREDIBLE SUCCESS AT YOUTH NATIONAL INDOOR CLUB PLAYOFFS!
The Old Loughtonians U16 and U18 sides, having both become England Hockey East Region Indoor Club Champions, played this last weekend in the National play offs.
The U18 squad won all four of their pool games to top their group and progress to the semi final with their statistics being Played 4 Won 4 Goals For 17 Goals against 7. In the semi final they met Havant and having gone 2-0 up were pegged back to 2-2, with the tie going to penalty flicks. With Harry Martin, George Lilley and finally Matt Lewis putting away the penalties Havant could not match the 100% success rate and the U18s now progress to the National Final where they will meet Beeston on Sunday 31st January at the Trent FM arena in Nottingham (match time 11.40 am).
