24.03.10 - U18 BOYS CONTINUED SUCCESS:
The U18 boys progressed further in their quest to head the Mercian East League by beating Chelmsford 3-2 in a scrappy game at Chelmer Park with goals coming from George Lilley (2) and Luke Camilleri. This was continued last Sunday when the lads beat Northampton Lions 10-5 an although they were caught on the break several times with good Lions’ moves there was always the confidence in a hard fought game that the score would eventually come out on Loughts’ side. Goals came from Mitchell Jones (3), Daniel Willoughby (3), Steve Edwards, Luke Camilleri, Will Smith and George Lilley (and if this is wrong no doubt you will let Martin Williams know in no uncertain terms!).
Indoors – the U18s represented OLHC in the Essex Division One indoor league which finished last Thursday and with wins over Southend (8-1) and Witham (12-1) first place was secured and the Essex title taken. This sees the end of the indoor season with the U18s not having lost any match throughout the whole of the season. Congratulations should go to them all.
