11.05.10 - CORE SKILLS WORKSHOPS:
England Hockey Board have organised two Core Skills workshops at:
North Kesteven Leisure Centre, North Hykeham, Lincoln LN6 9AX on 13th May from 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm or Letchworth Corner Sports Club, Whitethorpe Lane, Letchworth Garden City SG6 2DN on 9th May from 10.00 am – 1.00 pm.
These workshops will focus on the foundation Hockey Skills. They form the basis of the Single System work and are covered in detail at JDC, JAC and JRPC. These skills have been developed to equip players to progress throughout the player pathway.
• Unopposed ball carrying
• Hitting
• Basic principles of 2 v 1 attack
The course is suitable for any coach of juniors or seniors at all ability levels and replaces the previous core skills workshop. The workshop costs £15, will be run by an England Hockey Centrally Contracted Coach and will involve video and pitch work. Application forms are available from the office.
