Spotlight on: Youth Academy – FREE & open to non-members. All standards welcome.
Old Loughtonians is the premier hockey club in North East London, Essex and the East of England.
The club is conveniently situated in Chigwell just outside central London and is accessible by tube and road.
We welcome elite players, social players, absolute beginners of all ages and players coming 'back to hockey'.
We offer generous incentives including free membership for all undergraduates and for all Youth members returning to the club on graduation.
We have 8 Men's teams playing in the East Conference of the National League (M1s), London League (M2s) and East League (M3s to M8s).
We have 4 Ladies teams which play in the East League (L1s) and Essex Ladies League (L2s to L4s).
Our Colt section (U8, U16, U14) is one of the biggest and most successful in the country (both indoors and outdoors) with more than one team in each age group. Many of our Colts play representative hockey at County, Regional and National level.
We have a thriving Mini section (U12, U10 and U8-U6) which meets on Saturday mornings.
Our Masters section welcomes back returning club members and senior players from other clubs wishing to play supervets hockey in the London League or (as affiliated members) in the National cup competitions.
There is a very high standard of coaching with experienced coaches for all levels of players.
We have superb facilities, with two blue Olympic water based pitches in front of the club house and stands.
We encourage and sponsor players to qualify as umpires and volunteers.
There is a vibrant social atmosphere and on match days the clubhouse remains full and lively long after matches have been completed.
The Club was Clubmark accredited by England Hockey on 12th February 2018 and awarded its Clubmark certificate
